Alexis Mac Allister says Liverpool are ‘just getting started’ after surprisingly comfortable Premier League triumph

Alexis Mac Allister has been having his say on Liverpool’s Premier League win now that the dust has settled, following those epic scenes at Anfield when Liverpool comprehensively beat Tottenham Hotspur to seal the title.

Defeating Spurs 5-1 was an impressive way to win the league for the first time since 2019/20 and match Manchester United’s record of 20 league titles, with Liverpool lifting the trophy with four games to spare.
Mac Allister has been an instrumental part of the Liverpool line-up this season, with the Argentinian chipping in with five goals in the league, including one against Tottenham on a famous day at Anfield.

“I didn’t feel that we were going to win the league as easily as we did, because we are in a process that is just getting started,” Mac Allister told ESPN.
“For many, it was a big change. The coach and the team know that we can continue to improve, and hopefully, this is the beginning of something great.”
With Arne Slot at the helm in place of Jurgen Klopp, how Liverpool would react to a new playing style and a new coach was an unknown going into the season, but as Mac Allister said, the team have shown no signs of unease or confusion under Slot.
